Seasonal Storm Work
I am looking for people interested in seasonal work for this coming hurricane season. This is a gig that can last from a week to up to a month or more. We only know how many people we need AFTER a storm has passed and damage is assessed. Right now we are finding interested and qualified people to put on the roster to be called when a storm is approaching.
Coastal Logic Inc. is a company that provides manpower, equipment and services for their clients. The primary function of this company is staffing emergency response missions when natural disasters and other unforeseen circumstances threaten power utility and telecommunications infrastructure.
We will need a variety of good people to operate a successful yard. Most importantly we need people who are DEPENDABLE, HARDWORKING, ADVENTUROUS, and who have a desire to help people in need recover from devastating storm damages. We set up support yards for first responders, utility workers, and internet providers. We essentially set up a small, functioning, community that includes bunk houses, kitchen and dining, shower houses, restrooms, laundry, parking and more for the crews who go out and fix the power/utilities/etc.
We need those with 3/4 ton trucks who are able to tow large campers from state to state. If you dont have a truck thats ok, we can still use your help.
We will need those with labor/electrician experience. If you can work with 3-phase that is great!
We need people to cook, clean, do laundry, and maintain the grounds.
We need people to set up bunkhouses, light towers, and generators.
We all chip in and do a little bit of everything that needs to be done.
You must be able to be away and on the yard for extended periods.
If you do not have experience but do have the right attitude and desire then WE WILL TRAIN YOU.
This work is suitable for all able bodies. There are a lot of retired military men and women here, but there are LOTS of people from all sorts of backgrounds too. We count on each other to be there and pull our weight.
There is room for growth and raises are given to those who show they want it. Starting pay is $15 per hr for those with no experience. When we see how amazing you are we will offer you more money and every year afterwards your get a raise. We log APPROXIMATELY 15 hrs per day, 7 days a week, for as long as “the yard” is needed. These hrs include mealtimes and rest periods. For example, at starting rate you will make approximately $225 per day ($1575 per week) to start. Leadership positions are available in this field for those who show such ambition.
Please contact me for more information. We are recruiting in the state of North Carolina, South Carolina and surrounding areas. Tell your friends!
(The map posted off to the side here is irrelevant. The system made me put a location marker but we work wherever the storm damage is. Often out of state (NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA and TX.)
Reimbursement for fuel to the deployment area
Pay based upon experience. ie.. Forklift/Lull operator, CDL, mechanic, electrician, etc.
Reliable transportation, phone and and email address is required.
Additional equipment pay for the use of your 3//4 or 1 ton truck, skid steers, or other
If interested, please forward a resume or brief description of your experience. When sending an email please place storm work in the subject. Send email to me at eszymkowiak57@gmail.com.
